Laverne Cox is getting the popularity she deserves.
The trans rights activist and Emmy-nominated actress will probably be acknowledged for being a champion of inclusive storytelling in the course of the annual Woman Up’s #GirlHero Awards, the group introduced on Oct. 14. Cox, alongside different business leaders and the Woman Up’s Neighborhood of youth activists, are set to just about attend the awards ceremony, co-hosted by Babysitter’s Membership actress Malia Baker, on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
Per a press assertion, the #GirlHero Awards are “an extension of Worldwide Day of the Woman” meant to “spotlight the collective affect of girls and women as a power for constructive change.”
The official launch continued, “The 2021 #GirlHero Awards honorees will pair as much as share their tales and the actionable methods all of us can begin, construct and maintain our personal actions for change throughout a collection of inspiring one-on-one conversations.”
